The Award Wining Candeloo by Vessel is a pair of rechargeable lights for kids- or the young at heart! Innovative and delightfully designed by Andreu Osika & Duane Smith, 2001.
In the nursery, they're great as crib-side sentinels to ward off the dark. (Helpful for bleary-eyed parents during late night feedings, too!) For toddlers and kids, they turn make believe into adventures and add new "light" to dining room forts.
Intelligent circuitry prevents over-charging and makes the lights turn on when lifted from the charging base, and start to recharge as soon as they're put back- so they're always ready and easy to grab in the middle of the night. LEDs indicate when each lamp is charging or fully charged. The lamps can be set to pulse gently, lulling the restless to sleep. Plus, the SafeCharge system eliminates exposed electrical contacts, making them safe for inquisitive hands. Candeloo lamps stay lit for 5 hours, and takes 16 hours to recharge, they are scratch- and shatter resistant, easy to clean, cool-to-the-touch, and cost pennies per day to use.

Stylishly Protected's Fantastic Feature Note- If the Candeloo is on it's base (which is safe to do, it will not short the battery) and if the power goes out of your house due to a storm, etc, the Candeloo turns on! I have also found that the Vessel line of products actually aid in building my toddler's confidence and it has made the transition of sleeping in mommy's room to her room much easier! My daughter knows that if at any time she needs to come to my room, she can find me safely with her Vessel lantern or lamp!
